HOW TO CONVINCE PEOPLE THEY NEED THE LORD
II Cor. 5

I. Background
   A. It has always a requirement for God's people's to bring others to God
      i) I made you a watchman - Ezek 3:17
      ii) Go make disciples - Matt 28:18-20 ; Mk 16:15-16
   B. II Kings 7 - four lepers found safety for Israel and immediately told the King
   C. To not do so would be wrong - a violation of God's command
   D. It is great to enjoy brothers / sisters but we can only be really happy when we bring others

II. Five Things We Can Do To Convince Others
   A. We must be Genuine and Transparent - vs. 11
      i) earlier we  preached the Gospel and people's love and honor of it was sufficient
      ii) today we must " preach " and " live " the Gospel
      iii) Paul said " we are plain to God and you "
      iv) we can't say we are reflections of Jesus when we act like Satan
   B. We must convince them that One Died for all - vs.14
      i) Jesus was not a martyr - he was a Sacrifice for us
      ii) Rom 6 says then we are " dead " to sin
      iii) our problem is that we have not crucified our sin
   C. We regard no one from a " worldly " point of view - vs. 16
      i) we tend to gravitate to those that look and act the way we do
      ii) we don't realize every person is made in " God's " image
      iii) we excuse ourselves because they don't act like us
   D. Explain that God reconciled sinners to him - vs. 18
      i) our nature is to argue and seek to find differences between ourselves and others
      ii) Jesus' reason for coming is to close the gaps between the sinless and sinners
   E. Explain that there is Urgency in coming to the Lord - vs. 20
      i) we can't sit back and say - Christ is  available if you are
      ii) our job is to " implore " and " compel " people to come to Jesus - Lk 14:23

III. Take Homes
   A. It is great to be a Christian and worship with a joyful and loving congregation
   B. Without going / compelling others to be Christians - WE SIN !!
   C. We willfully disobey our Lord
   D. But by living a life of reconciliation we become righteous - vs. 21
