FIVE WAYS GOD IS ON OUR SIDE –
Romans 8

I. God's Promises vs. 31-39
   A. If God is with us - who can be against us ?
   B. Since he did not spare his Son - he will freely give us all things ( we need )
   C. God's Elect will not be charged because God's justifies them
   D. Jesus makes intercession for the Elect
   E. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ

II. Summary Of Chapters 1-7
   A. Ch 1 - God gave sinners up due to the depth of sin including homosexuality
   B. Ch 2 - the Jews were saved by obeying the Old Law ; Gentiles were saved by the Natural Law
   C. Ch 3 - people deep in sin have NO respect of God ( everyone sins )
   D. Ch 4-5 - we are justified by God's Grace ; sin destroys everything it touches
   E. Ch 6 - those that have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ and raised from death
   F. Ch 7 -  the fleshly desires never stop ; when we want to do good Satan attacks

III. Five Proofs That Shows How Much God Loves His Children
   A. He gave us his son - vs 32
      i) since he gave us Jesus he will not spare any gift we need
      ii) he knows what we need
   B. He solved the question about sin - vs 1
      i) Chapters 1-3 show how awful sin is
      ii) we will not be condemned when we walk after Gods spirit
   C. He adopted us into his family - vs 23
      i) we were not originally in his family
      ii) we were chosen by God when we obey him ; we are joint heirs with Christ
   D. He promises us the everything will work TOGETHER for our good
- vs. 28
      i) all things are not good but God can work things together for our good
      ii) sometimes good can be physical - other times it could be spiritual
      iii) even though good will ultimately come - it still hurts !!!!
   E. He Assures Our Eternal Destiny - vs 37
      i) with Christ we are conquers - we will overcome Satan
      ii) God can NOT  love us  anymore than he does when we become his
disciples even though he does not agree with everything we do
