WHAT GOD WANTS FOR MY LIFE
Mt 28:18-20

I. Background
   A. In Mt 28: 18-20 we are told to
      i) go
      ii) make disciples
      iii) baptize
   B. God's plan for us is
      i) be baptized
      ii) become a " disciple "
      iii) go and make others disciples
   C. Christian is used 3 times and disciple is used 265 times
      i) we become a Christian through  faith , repentance , confession , and baptism ( specific date )
      ii) we become a disciple through a life's journey of trying to be like our Lord

II. Marks Of A Disciple
   A. Love Jesus more than anything or anybody Lk 14: 26-33
      i) we must love him above all others or we can not be his disciple
      ii) we must bear our cross ( daily lives )  or we can not be his disciples
      ii) when our family becomes disciples we serve him together
   B. Obey the Lord's commands Jn 8:3
      i) if we keep his words - then we are his disciples
      ii) obeying his words includes studying his word
   C.  Really love our brothers and sisters Jn 13:34-35
      i) this is the way others see we are his disciples
      ii) other than salvation our fellowship is the greatest blessing on this Earth
   D. Bear " much " fruit Jn 15:8
      i) here is my Father glorified that you bear much fruit - so shall you be my disciple
      ii) Ez 3:18 you must warn a wicked man of his sin or his blood will be on our head
      iii) since Jesus' mission was to seek and save the lost - it becomes our mission

III. Take Homes
   A. Disciples are apprentices to our Lord
   B. We are disciples of someone or something
   C. Half hearted Christians are half happy
   D. Rewards of a disciple
      i) our sins will be remembered NO more Rom 5:9
      ii) the love of God will cast out fear Jn 15:9
      iii) member of God's family
