I. Background
   A. 2008 and 2009 were very difficult years
   B. No one knows how 2010 will be but it is starting similar to previous years
   C. When the disciples were anxious about Jesus leaving them , the Lord gave them lessons to help stay calm

II. The Lord's Four Principles To Help Stay Calm
   A. Believe in a PERSON - Jesus
      i) they believed in God - he told them to believe in him
      ii) God had taken care of them - now believe that their Master would also
    B. Believe in a PLACE - Heaven
      i) we love our Earthly home
      ii) Heaven is so much more wonderful because we will live in a mansion
      iii) but the reason we want to live there is because Jesus is there ; we will be secure
   C. Believe in a PROMISE - Jesus will return to carry us to Heaven with him
      i) he will not send for us ; he will come get us himself
      ii) others can keep their promises ; how much more can we trust Jesus' promise
   D. Believe in a PLAN - Jesus is the Way
      i) he is THE way , THE truth , and THE life - no man comes to the Father except through him
      ii) many think as long as they believe in Jesus , they can serve him in any way  - Prov 14:12 , Mt 7:21

III. Take Homes
   A. Where are you on the Calmness scale ?
   B. It's hard to be calm unless we believe these promises
   C. It is time to follow Jesus his way - believe, repent, be baptized and live for him and be ready for his return
