FIVE WAYS GOD HELPS FACE THE FUTURE
Rom 8

I. God Give Us Reasons To Trust Him
   A. Not empty promises but tried and true facts that have been proven faithful
   B. If God is for us , who could be against us - Rom 8:31
   C. Satan accuses use each day of sin and demands that we be punished - Rev 12
   D. Jesus is our defender and pleads our case - Rom 8
 
II. Five Ways God Is For Us
   A. He gave his only son - vs 32
      i) Jesus is the greatest gift that could be given
      ii) since he gave the Lord for us , he would surely not deny us any blessing ; he may not agree that this blessing is what we need now
   B. He settled the sin question - vs 1
      i) Rom 1-3 shows sin at its worse
      ii) Rom 4&5 shows how we are justified by Jesus
      iii) Rom 6 shows that we put on Jesus through baptism
      iv) Rom 7 explains how hard sin is to put off
      v) Rom 8:1 states that those in Christ are no longer under condemnation
   C. Adopted in his family - vs 23
      i) accepted as God's son / daughter
      ii) put in the will - vs 17
   D. All things work together for our good - vs 28
      i) atheist argument that a loving God would not let bad happen ; it was Satan's argument to Job
      ii) sometimes bad can lead to better , stronger Christian lives
      iii) sometimes bad can lead to better physical things
      iv) we may never will know how many things we have been spared by God's mercy
      v) we may not understand why and how till the judgement but we have had things happen that looked bad ultimately were happy they happened
   E. We are assured God's protection - vs. 37-39
      i) 7 horrible things can hurt us but not separate us from God
      ii) we can separate us from God by refusing to repent
 
III. Conclusions
   A. We are / will go through hard times
   B. We can go alone with little support or we can trust our God who controls the future
   C. God will never stop loving us
