WHY WAS THERE NO ROOM IN THE INN ?
Luke 2 : 7

I. What Happened That Day?
   A. Deity invaded humanity  - Col 2;9
      i) God took on the form of a man
      ii) God had walked with man on Earth but never become man - to feel his
pain, suffering, his joys
      iii) Had they understood who he was there would have been a room
   B. Eternity invaded time - Micah 5:2
      i) God does not work on our schedule which sometimes frustrates us
      ii) God created time and will end it when he chooses
      iii) Now Jesus is on man's time - people need healing now ; the disciples need
3 years to understand
   C. Royalty invaded poverty
      i) God owns everything
      ii) Though he ( Jesus ) was rich he became poor for our sakes , that we through
his poverty might be rich - II Cor. 8:9
      iii) He lived in a manger so we can live in a mansion - he did not want a room in the inn
      iv) As a result the common / poor always heard him - Mark 12:37

II. Why Was There No Room?
   A. It was not because there was so many and so few rooms
   B. God, who created the Star , could have built a hotel or castle for his son
   C. God wanted his son to be born of a lowly birth so that no one could say that  he can not understand what we are   going through
   D. Later the Lord would say that the foxes have holes and the birds have nests but he had no place to sleep - Luke 9:58
   E. Then came the cross and finally the tomb that was found empty!
   F. We are so glad there was no room in the inn
