WINNING THE WAR INSIDE ME
Genesis 3

  I.  Satan tempts Adam and Eve.  Genesis 3:1-9

 II.  Satan used five tools of temptation.

     A.  Satan came disguised as a serpent.  verse 1

     B.  Satan disguised his purpose by first asking what

          God had said.  verse1

     C.  Satan shifts the focus to disobedience of God.  verses 2,3

     D.  Satan attacks God's word by telling them that they would

          not die.  verse 4

     E.  Satan attacks God's character because he wants to

          keep them from knowing the difference in good and evil.

          verse 5

III.  What do I need to know about temptation?

     A.  Temptation is triggered by the world around us.

     B.  Temptation starts with MY desires.

     C.  I am in a war with Satan for my soul.

     D.  Temptation can be a blessing or a curse.

     E.  Temptation comes in short bursts.

     F.  God is with me during times of temptation.  James 1

IV.  What have I learned?

     A.  I must train myself to know the enemy.

     B.  I must be honest with God.

     C.  I must work on my weaknesses not my strengths.

     D.  I must ask God for victory.
