SERVING GOD HAS GREAT REWARDS
Psalms 37

I.  Blessings of Being Righteous

   a. To those who delight in the Lord - God gives them the desires of their hearts (vs. 4)

   b. To those that commit to the Lord - God shows them to be righteous at noon day (vs. 5 )

   c. Those who wait patiently on the Lord - will inherit the world (vs. 7, 21, 29)

   d. To those who are meek - they shall have peace (vs. 11)

   e. The amount a righteous man has - is more than riches of many wicked men (vs. 16)

   f. The days of a righteous man - are known by the Lord (vs. 18)

   g. The steps of a good man - are ordered by the Lord (vs. 23)

   h. When a righteous man falls - he will not be cast down; the Lord will hold
him in his hand (vs. 24)

   i. The righteous - will never be forsaken nor will his descendents beg
bread (vs. 25)

   j. The righteous are merciful and lend to others - his descendents are blessed (vs. 2 )

   k. He who does good - will dwell forever with God ; the Lord will not forsake

him ( vs. 27 )

   l. The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom and justice - non of his steps
will slide (vs. 3 )

   m. A blameless man - has peace (vs. 37)

   n. The righteous that trusts in the Lord - God will be his strength in time of
trouble ; the Lord will help him and deliver him ( vs. 39 )

II. Rewards of the Unfaithful

   a. Be not envious of evil doers - they will be cut down ( vs. 1, 8  )

   b. When evil people plot against the just - the Lord laughs; his day is coming (vs. 12)

   c. When the wicked reproach the poor and needy - they will receive evil (vs. 14)

   d. Evil people borrow and do not repay - they will be cut off from the Lord (vs. 21)

   e. Wicked people seek to slay the righteous - the Lord will not leave him in his hand (vs. 32)

   f. Wicked people may have great power - but it will pass and be no more (vs. 35)

   g. Transgressors of God's Law - will be destroyed together (vs. 38)
