The Lord's Church ( Part 2 )

Mt 25:18-19

I. Jesus Said He Would
   A. Build his church
   B. Give Peter the keys to the kingdom

II. Church Began In Jerusalem In AD 33 - Acts 2 :47
   A. Before Acts 2 the church/ kingdom were in the FUTURE tense -
Mt 16:18-19 , Dan 2:31-44
   B. After Acts 2 they were spoken as IN EXISTENCE - Col 1:13
   C. Either 2 things were initiated in Acts 2 or they are the same thing

III. God Told Where And When The Kingdom Would Start
   A. Kingdom would start in Jerusalem - Isa 2:2-3
   B. Nebuchadnezzar's dream pinpointed when the kingdom would start -
Dan 2:31-44
        i. Head - Gold - Babylon
        ii. Breast & Arms - Silver - Medo-Persians
        iii. Thighs - Brass - Greeks
        iv. Legs& Feet - Iron& Clay - Romans

IV. Oneness In God
   A. Church is the body - Eph 1: 22-23
   B. There is one body ( the church ) - Eph 4:4
   C. One Lord, one faith, one baptism - Eph 4:5
   D. One God and Father - Eph 4:6

V. Bible Predicted a Splitting Of The Church
   A. Departing from the faith - Acts 20:29
   B. Some would abandon the faith and forbid to marry and eat meats -
I Tim 4: 1-3
   C. Some would not endure sound doctrine and would turn from the Faith  -
II Tim 4: 1-4
   D. Remember the only guide is God's word - Rev 22: 18-20
