NAAMAN - THE OFFICER WHOSE LEPROSY WAS CLEANSED
II Kings 5:1-14
I. Naaman was many things. Verse 1
A. He was captain of Syria .
B. He was great in the sight of the king.
C. He was honored..
D. He was used by God to win great victories.
E. BUT Naaman was a leper.
II. Naaman made mistakes.
A. He thought he could buy a cure. Verse 5
B. He thought he could get cleansing from others. Verses 6-7
C. He thought he could decide how to cure himself. Verses 11-12
III. There were people who influenced his cure.
A. He was influenced by the servant girl. Verse 2
B. He was influenced by Elisha's messenger. Verse 10
C. He was influenced by his servants. Verse 13
IV. I can learn lessons from Naaman.
A. I must accept that I am lost before I can be saved.
B. I cannot be saved without God's word. Verse 10
C. I cannot save myself. Verse 11
D. I cannot be saved until I obey. Verse 14
