A TIME FOR DECISION 
Joshua  24

I. In the Bible we read of many people who made decisions which tormented their souls.

      A.  Noah

      B.  Esther

      C.  Demas

      D.  Agrippa

II. We need to make good decisions .

      A.  My decisions change my life.

      B.  My decisions affect the lives of others.

      C.  My decisions affect where I will spend eternity.

III. Joshua shares Israel 's salvation.  verses 2-4

     A.Abraham and Terah worshipped idols but God saw something in Abraham's heart.

  B. The land was promised to Abraham

IV.   God fights for His people.  verses 8-14

      A.  Panic came over the Canaanites.

      B.  God caused the victory.

      C.  Fear God; serve Him faithfully.

  V.  You cannot serve two Gods.  verses 14-23

      A.  Throw away gods which stand between you and Jehovah God.

      B.  Some of them (and us) are serving Jehovah while holding onto other gods.

VI. I must make a choice.  verses 16-20

      A.  Choose whom you will serve; you will serve something.

      B.  If you forsake God, he will forsake you;  NOT once saved, always saved.

VII. Go public with your choice of God and let the world know.  verses 25-29

VIII. Take Homes

      A.  When you pray, do you pray for God's will?

      B.  Do you consult other Christians?

      C.  Are your decisions for short term or long term happiness?

      D.  When you make decisions ask yourself if your decision will draw you closer to God.

     E.  If you have not committed to the Lord, set a date when you will commit.
